Christmas trees

Nova Scotia is home to over 300 Christmas tree farms (as of 2016). Nova Scotia Christmas trees are shipped across Canada, the US, France, The Caribbean, and even Aruba!

We exported 280,512 fresh Christmas trees in 2018, amounting to $6.7M in exports. Nova Scotia is Canada’s third largest exporter of fresh Christmas trees.

Nova Scotia has (as of 2016) 15,269 acres of land dedicated to growing Christmas trees. Lunenburg County is known as the Christmas tree capital of the world!

Seafood facts

In December 2018, as the world prepared for Christmas, an estimated 5.9M kilos of lobster (worth $127.2 million) was exported around the world

During the holidays, there's a sharp increase in demand for our ocean delicacies, especially in Europe.
